Brunswick County has one of the lowest property/personal tax rates in North Carolina.  The county is open to providing some attractive incentives to logistics/distribution companies predicated on investment, the number of employees hired and salary ranges.  The state of North Carolina also offers incentives and grants to prospective logistics companies.  All state and local incentives are performance based, that is, provided on an annual basis predicated on the taxes paid and employees hired.

Brunswick County Real Property Tax: $0.4425 per $100 of assessed value. The tax rate is set in July of each year. Properties located in towns have additional real estate taxes.

Brunswick County Personal Property Tax: $0.4425 per $100 of assessed value. The tax rate is set in July of each year. This generally applies to vehicles.

North Carolina/Brunswick County combined Sales Tax: 6.75%

North Carolina Highway Use Tax: 3% Minimum of $40, Maximum of $1000

North Carolina Corporate Income Tax:
The corporate income tax rate on net income attributed to North Carolina is 6.9%.

North Carolina Franchise Tax:
Levied on NC corporations annually, $35 minimum

Rate: $1.50 per $1000 of the largest of the following:
Capital stock, surplus and undivided profits
55% of appraised value of property subject to tax
Book value of real property in NC less debt to acquire.
